VC in discussions with Nakuru County Governor

Vice-Chancellor, Maj Gen S M Farah, on 13 Sep 23 held discussions with the Governor of Nakuru County, H E Susan Kihika at Nakuru County Government Headquarters, in Nakuru town. 

The VC was at the County Headquarters, at the invitation of the Governor, to explore possible areas of partnership and collaboration between the County Government and NDU-K. 

During the discussions, several possible areas in training, research and collaborative action were identified. The County Government is seeking to utilize the expertise within NDU-K to enhance its service delivery in areas such as security, education, health and sanitation, environment and disaster management. It was agreed that working teams would be constituted to harmonise the needs of both parties and map out an implementation plan.

Present during the discussions were senior officers from County Government and NDU-K who included, Deputy Governor H E David Kones, Education CEC Zipporah Ngugi, Chief of Staff Dr Peter Ketienya, Education Chief Officer John Koech. Accompanying the VC were Director Centre for Strategic Security Studies (CSSS) Brig Oscar Muleyi, Head of Corporate Communications, Col Paul Njuguna, Director Policy, Strategy and Doctrine, Col Ronald Makori and Coordinator of Training, CSSS, Col Bernard Mwaniki.
