Director Legal Services/Corporation Secretary
The Office of the Director of Legal Services/Corporation Secretary is established pursuant to Paragraph 24(2)(f) and Statute XIX of the NDU-K Charter and Statutes respectively, under the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The Directorate is inter alia responsible for legal advice, litigation, conveyancing and preparation of contracts at the University. The Directorate further supports the Vice-Chancellor in providing corporate secretarial services to the University Council.
The functions of the Director of Legal Services/Corporation Secretary are, among other things, to advise on all issues related to law and justice and to protect the University from possible litigation by offering legal counsel to staff, University organs and the Council.
