Directorate of Quality Assurance
The National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K) is committed to offering quality teaching, research, and community outreach that meet the needs and expectations of its customers and relevant stakeholders. To achieve her vision and mission, the University has established a Directorate of Quality Assurance in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, under Statute VIII.C. The mandate of this Directorate is to promote high standards through maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality of Teaching, Research and Community Outreach. The Directorate aims to strengthen internal mechanisms to ensure quality performance in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of university operations and processes. It focuses on enhancing quality management, effectiveness and efficiency of processes and compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
To fulfil its desire for quality, NDU-K commits to develop and support relevant internal structures to champion Quality Assurance in accordance to national, regional and international best practices. The supporting pillars of quality shall comprise; striving for academic excellence and professionalism in teaching, research and community outreach; formulating strategies and plans for effective development, implementation of market/Industry driven programmes and ensuring availability and adequacy of supportive resources.
