NDU-K HOLDS 12TH REGULAR SENATE MEETING
The National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K) convened its 12th Regular Senate Meeting today at its main campus in Lanet, Nakuru County. The session was chaired by Vice-Chancellor, Lieutenant General Jimson Mutai.
In his opening remarks, Lt. Gen. Mutai underscored the University's commitment to delivering advanced training and research, promoting academic dialogue, and facilitating the exchange of expertise to address evolving security challenges while supporting national development.
“The agenda we are discussing today is central to our mission of empowering defence and security personnel through world-class education, enhancing their capacity to safeguard national interests,” said the Vice-Chancellor.
He encouraged the Senate to remain focused, work collaboratively, and ensure that the University upholds its Charter while embedding best practices in all operations.
The NDU-K Senate comprises the Vice-Chancellor (Chairperson), Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Commandants, Principals, and Heads of Programs from the University's seven colleges, as well as the Registrar of Academic Affairs, Directors, and Heads of various departments.
