NDU-K INDUCTS NEW STAFF
National Defence University- Kenya (NDU-K) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Major General Said Farah, has implored new University staff to serve with diligence, zeal and energy, saying their experience and expertise will propel the University to even greater heights.
In his remarks read on his behalf by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Research, Innovation and Security Studies, Major General William Shume during the launch of a week-long staff induction programme, the VC, congratulated the staff for securing the opportunity to serve at the University. He urged them to familiarize themselves with policies, procedures and the regulations that apply to their areas of work to enable them to fit into the new ecosystem and also join the NDU-K team in actualizing the University’s mandate.
The VC urged the staff to exercise flexibility and commitment while on their day-to-day duties, emphasizing the importance of synergy, in order to achieve the institution's mandate of empowering defence and security professionals through world-class education and training in order to enhance capacity in safeguarding the national interest.
The induction is aimed at laying a foundation for the new staff as they embark on their duties that will contribute to the achievement of NDU-K objectives.
During the induction, the new staff team also made familiarization visits to NDU-K Colleges.
