University Holds 9th Regular Senate Meeting
On 23 January 2024 NDU-K held its 9th Regular Senate Meeting (RSM) at the University Seat in Lanet, Nakuru.
Pursuant to paragraph 21 (2) of NDU-K Charter, the University Senate is a governing body, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, charged with the responsibility of regulating and directing academic matters at the University. It is a deliberative body of the University for academic programmes, policies, structures, and procedures. It makes recommendations to NDU-K Council concerning academic policies and practices at the University. The Senate may also make recommendations for consideration by each of the Colleges of NDU-K concerning their internal educational programmes and policies. Further, it is responsible for fixing the University academic calendar and arranging University academic events.
NDU-K Senate consists of the Vice-Chancellor (Chairperson), Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Commandants, Principals and Heads of Programmes from the seven (7) NDU-K Colleges, the Registrar Academic Affairs as well as Directors and Heads of various key offices at the Seat.
