VC URGES NEWLY POSTED STAFF TO SERVE WITH DILIGENCE

National Defence University- Kenya (NDU-K) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Lieutenant General Gimson Mutai, has urged new University staff to serve with utmost dedication and diligence, saying their vast experience and expertise will propel the University to even greater heights.

In his remarks delivered on his behalf by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Finance & Administration, Major General (Rtd) Patrick Amogola during the opening of a week-long staff induction program, the VC, congratulated them for securing the opportunity to serve at the University.

The VC encouraged them to embrace flexibility, commitment, and synergy while on their day-to-day duties, being the surest way of achieving institution's mandate of training and building capacity as well as conducting research and innovation in the niche areas of National security and strategy, so as to contribute to National Security and development.

He further urged them to familiarize themselves with NDU-K statutes, policies, procedures and the regulations that apply to their areas of work to enable them fit into the new ecosystem and also join the NDU-K team in actualizing the University’s core mandate.


The induction was aimed at laying a foundation for the new staff as they embark on their duties that will contribute to the achievement of NDU-K objectives.

During the induction, the new staff team also made familiarization visits to various NDU-K Colleges.
