NDU–K VICE-CHANCELLOR PRESIDES OVER SIGNING OF PERFOMANCE CONTRACTS
The National Defence University–Kenya (NDU–K) Vice-Chancellor (VC), Lieutenant General David Tarus on Tuesday, 28th October 2025, led the Deputy Vice-Chancellors in signing Performance Contracts for the financial year 2025/2026 at the University Seat in Lanet, Nakuru.
During the event, Lt. Gen. Tarus, underscored the importance of performance contracts in driving accountability and efficiency within the University.
The VC affirmed NDU-K’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate which is to train and build capacity as well as conducting research and innovation in the areas of National security and strategy while advancing the government’s national development agenda.
He further emphasized the importance of collaboration, leveraging strengths, and teamwork to ensure the successful execution of these commitments.
‘‘Let these signatures signify the University’s collective resolve as a university to deliver the results with integrity, discipline, and teamwork,’’ said Lt Gen Tarus.
In his closing remarks, the VC lauded the DVCs for their exemplary leadership and dedication, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence in every aspect of their service.
Performance Contracts serve as strategic roadmaps that help the University leadership commits to measurable goals aimed at enhancing efficiency, accountability, and operational excellence within the University and its Colleges.
