NDU-K AND CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY OF EASTERN AFRICA COLLABORATION 

On 01 Feb 24 a team of NDU-K Staff made a visit to Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) to discuss possible areas of collaboration between the two institutions. This was a follow-up visit after the leadership of CUEA visited the Seat of NDU-K in Lanet, Nakuru earlier. 
Speaking during the event, Very Rev Prof Stephen Mbugua, the Vice-Chancellor CUEA noted that the two institutions had many areas of common interest in the development of academic programmes. The two universities also shared some common challenges as well.
Some of the key areas of collaboration identified during the discussions included; access to library facilities, research in psychological support and joint scientific research, among others.
The NDU-K Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Academic and Student Affairs, Prof Ann Muigai reiterated the mutual benefits that the institutions stand to gain based on the unique niche that they occupy. She emphasized on the need for joint programs, short capacity courses and exchange programs as areas that could benefit the two institutions.
Others present during the meeting included DVC Academics and Research CUEA, Prof George Kimathi, the Dean Faculty of Science CUEA, Dr Mary Wainaina, Director Academic Affairs NDU-K, Brig Dixon Chivatsi, among others.
