He emphasized the importance of collaboration in bridging the gap between research and practice, noting that partnerships with organizations such as BBRC enhance the University’s capacity to generate impactful, policy-relevant outcomes. He further highlighted the growing complexity of security threats and the need for coordinated, multi-institutional responses to foster sustainable peace and stability.
In his remarks, Dr Odaba expressed BBRC’s commitment to establishing meaningful and results-oriented collaborations. He highlighted the organization’s expertise in delivering research-driven solutions across various sectors and underscored the importance of cultivating a strong research culture that supports evidence-based decision-making in education, training, and national security strategy.
Also speaking during the meeting, Major General Joyce Sitienei, Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of the Centre for Security and Strategic Studies (CSSS), noted that sustained partnerships with reputable research institutions are essential in advancing the University’s mission.
