The strength of a nation is reflected in the character of its young people. Guided by its strategic mandate of community outreach, the National Defence University–Kenya (NDU-K) successfully concluded a transformative mentorship initiative at Nakuru High School under the theme, "Mentoring Young Men for Integrity, Discipline, Leadership and Service."

More than a mentorship programme, the initiative was a deliberate investment in the nation's future, inspiring young men to embrace integrity, cultivate discipline, lead with courage and serve with selflessness. Through meaningful engagements and shared experiences, the participants were encouraged to become principled leaders capable of making a positive difference in their communities and beyond.

By extending its impact beyond the classroom and into the community, NDU-K continues to advance its commitment to nurturing responsible leadership, active citizenship and a culture of service. The initiative underscores the University's role in shaping a resilient, values-driven generation equipped to contribute meaningfully to Kenya's sustainable development and national prosperity.
