PROGRAMME ACCREDITATION FOR THE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING WITH MILITARY HEALTH

On 6 March 2023, the Commission for University Education (CUE) conducted a programme accreditation for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Military Health at the Defence College of Health Sciences (DCHS). DCHS, co-located with the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital (DFMH), is a College of the National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K).

It was the first College to be admitted into NDU-K by the University Council after the award of Charter to NDU-K, as an institution of strategic national importance on 27 May 2021. The programme accreditation marks a major milestone for NDU-K as the BSc is the first program to undergo accreditation since the award of Charter.

Present during the occasion was CUE Chief Executive Officer, Prof Mike Kuria, NDU-K Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs and Research, Prof Anne Muigai, and senior officers from CUE, NDU-K, DFMH and staff of DCHS.
